In the Netherlands, you should be able to count on the care you need. It's that simple. But there is a fine of €385 for being sick: the deductible. Healthcare is far too bureaucratic. And billions are wasted on the marketing of health insurers and the annual switching circus [of helth insurances]. Quality goes down, costs go up.

That has to change according to the Socialist Party (SP): abolish the health insurers and set up a single National Healthcare Fund (Nationaal Zorgfonds). Without unnecessary bureaucracy and money-guzzling competition. And without a deductible.

We created an installation where, after signing the petition, you can immediately kick the deductible out of the Netherlands. Emile Roemer, as chairman of the party, was allowed to kick things off. BAM!
