In collaboration with product designer Jonas Samson have we been working on this ‘installation’ (still searching fot a better description) for the main entrance at the new building of Twente University (UT) in Enschede. It’s a complex visualization of overlapping areas of science. The different grids we used can be traced back to Plato, islamic tiles, Kepler and Dürer or more recently to Roger Penrose. Photography by Roel Determeijer.

Ecco luce is a personalized light wall. Together with product designer Jonas Samson we worked in commision for Nedtrain, the organisation that’s responsible for the Dutch railway maintainance and designed this wall for Schiphol Airport-trainstation. Switched off, it’s just a wall. Switches on, patterns of light shine through the wall. Returning back home after spending a month in India and arriving at Schiphol airport, it was a nice welcome. At the moment we are collaborating again with Jonas Samson for a similar wall in London. To be continued…

For an art & design fair in Milano, we were asked by Jonas Samson to design this interactive light-emitting wallpaper. As long as the wallpaper is turned ‘off’, you don’t see it is a source of light. Instead, it is just what it appears to be: wallpaper. More information can be found on it’s own website: ecco luce.
